The 2007 Urban Bike Tour - Street Corners Foundation Aids Awareness Charity Ride
The urban bike community is no stranger to supporting charities, so when Big Tigger, host of Live in the Den, put a call out for a charity ride in DC to support Aids Awareness via his Street Corner foundation, the bike community took heed and came out in full force to the estimate of more than 2,000!
Motorcycle clubs from VA, DC, MD, PA, NJ and as far south as NC were representing such as Miles Per Hour, Ruff Ryders, Baltimore Black Tigers, Eclypse Ryders, Flaming Knights, Chocolate City Divas, Down N’ Dirty, Deathrow Choppers, East Coast Busas, MSR to name just a few. The convoy of bikes seemingly stretched for miles along the police escorted route as it rolled from RFK Stadium in Washington DC to Rosaryville State park in Upper Marlboro, MD.
The significance of this ride is two-fold. First and foremost, to continue to raise money and awareness for the fight against Aids and shows the black bike community comes out in full force to support one another and a common cause. We hope this serves as a great example of what’s to come.
