The 2007 Urban Bike Tour - Clutch Control: Stunts, Customs and Fun!
If ever an event was so appropriately named, this is it. Custom bikes, wheelies, endos, rolling burnouts, head-stands, and other two-wheeled acrobatics attracted more than 4,000 spectators to PA’s Valley Forge Convention Center. Adding to the excitement was female stunt rider Jessica Maine, Mr. Superbikes Jason Britton and his stunt partners, the super-fly custom sportbikes from Steve Kehler’s Tricked Out Custom Cycles (TOCC), wheelie rides in a controlled fashion by VIN of WheelieRide-MD, and sport bike rider and model Chrissy R6. With this level of talent and eye candy what more could you ask for? Well add sir Jason stuntn’ on TOCC’s 30k custom stunt bike, El Diablo as well as doing his thing on a Roland Sands custom Aprilia Tuono stunt bike and you’ve got yourself a show like no other.
The muscle inside the Convention Center was equally impressive with more custom bikes and vendors as well as what may the first modified custom 08 ‘Busa by Triple Plate Customs. To put this feat into perspective, we attended the world press launch of the ’08 Busa just one week prior to Clutch Control with new ‘Busas set to hit dealerships in late October…weeks after Clutch Control. Talk about being on top of the game.
A big shout-out goes to event organizer Allan Lane of everything-but-the-bike.com for his remarkable efforts (and antics) of maintaining his sanity, composure and humor throughout the day while throwing down the first of what we hope are many to more Clutch Control events to come!
