My mother always told me not to play with fire or electricity. But with all the hype and accolades manifesting over Nissan’s all-new, zero emissions EV (Electric Vehicle) I had no choice and took my chances in Nashville, Tennessee where the Japanese brand has its US headquarters. “Highly impressive” was the takeaway point after a morning of classroom education from Nissan’s Larry Dominique and an afternoon of driving.

Jaguar lead a pre-emptive strike during this year’s Paris Motor Show with the unveiling of their electric, super car, concept!  Forget the mandatory, celebratory mandates set forth for the British automaker’s 75th anniversary. The reflective moment at hand is the fact that the C-X75 is the most ostentatious vehicle ever theorized and manifested by Jaguar since the XJ13! “Performance through innovation has always been a Jaguar hallmark. From the beginning, cars such as the C-Type and D-Type pioneered aluminium construction, aerodynamic design, racing monocoques and disc brakes. The C-X75 demonstrates that the company is still leading the field in automotive design and technology.” Dr Ralf Speth, Chief Executive Officer, Jaguar Land Rover. Good point Dr. Speth. But the public wants to know if Jaguar can put a stylish, quality, performance vehicle into production. Audi did it with the R8; Lexus did it with the L-FA, and Fisker has done it with the Karma.

Recently, the TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster was driven across the US and stopped in cities nationwide, including Malibu, CA and Miami, where TAG Heuer hosted exclusive cocktail receptions. It was the leader of a roadshow exhibiting TAG Heuer historical and current timepieces, celebrating the brand’s 150th anniversary. New York was the last stop in the US.

After a short visit through Manhattan the TAG Heuer Tesla roadster was driven to the Hamptons, in Amagansett, where TAG Heuer hosted an invitation-only party at a private estate. Among the elite guests who came to celebrate the anniversary were Golden Globe, Emmy and Tony award-winning actress Mary Louise Parker, Musician Charlie Mars, Grammy nominated R+B singer Maxwell, Ed Westwick, star of the hit TV show “Gossip Girls,”  supermodel, Hilary Rhoda and Cornelia Guest, New York social influencer and philanthropist.
