2007 Lincoln Navigator L: Flipped by DUB, Whipped by AR!
See it on ARtv
Imagine the expression of innocent bystanders as they witnessed the seductiveness of a streaking silver ‘07 DUB Edition Lincoln Navigator L with its 26” chrome spins rolling down Miami Beach! Well, it wasn’t hard for the mirror on the wall to tell who had the slickest whip of them all during the recent American Black Film Festival weekend.
To dramatize the Navigator, DUB added a few hot item tickets to get the vehicle Red Carpet ready. First, the “L” offers more room with 14.7 extra inches in length and an additional 25 cubic feet of interior volume. That means more space for subs, speakers, and amps! Currently, the vehicle is shod with 26” TIS rims and Pirelli tires, a Borla performance exhaust system, tint, and a custom 3” lowered suspension. Though it looks great, the drive was rough and delicate. We intentionally slowed up traffic to keep from bottoming out.
Open the doors and you jump into suede and leather interior trim, DVD in dash, four 7” monitors in the headrests, a 15” flip down LCD screen, and an audio system utilizing two amplifiers and two 12” subwoofers housed within a custom box. Magic Johnson approved as he and Automotive Rhythms chatted about the effects of the Navi on the populace of Miami Beach.
A base model Navigator L comes with a 5.4-liter, Triton V8 with 300-horsepower mated to a six-speed automatic transmission; 18” wheels (20” optional); Advancetrac with roll stability control; power-folding running boards; a power folding third-row; Dark Ebony or Anigre wood trim; satin-nickel accents and an available 14-speaker THX II certified audio and DVD-based navigation system.
“Lincoln Navigator has always been in a unique class,” said Al Giombetti, president, Ford, Lincoln-Mercury Marketing and Sales. “It offers a great blend of style and functionality, but more than that, its got street appeal.”
