Washington, D.C., July 31, 2007 – Automotive Rhythms Communications, LLC, the multimedia source of choice for urban auto enthusiasts, announced today it has formed a marketing partnership with the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) scheduled October 25-29, 2007 in Los Angeles, California. The year’s festival marks the 11th anniversary.

Automotive Rhythms will promote the American Black Film Festival through its multi-media platform including Automotive Rhythms, the Magazine, www.ARtvLive.com, e-Newsletters, Automotive Rhythms TV, AR Productions, AutoBoss Films, www.AutomotiveRhythms.com, and electronic communications to its national database of urban automotive enthusiasts. By partnering with the 2007 American Black Film Festival, Automotive Rhythms strengthens its commitment to promoting national, international, political, social and cultural messages to the masses via film production and automotive journalism and marketing.

“We are always searching for creative and exciting new ways to deliver outstanding information for consumers’ needs,” said Kimatni D. Rawlins, Automotive Rhythms president and publisher. “The American Black Film Festival provides a forum for diverse independent film makers to present their talent and work and Automotive Rhythms is proud to be a part of that opportunity.”

Rawlins founded Automotive Rhythms as a means to bridge the communication gap between automotive companies and untapped urban consumers which include, but are not limited to, young professionals, college students, athletes and entertainers. Last year, the company partnered with luxury marque Lincoln at the 2006 ABFF in Miami to produce an ARtv luxury lifestyle segment based on the brand’s involvement with the festival. The experience opened doors and led to the natural progression of Automotive Rhythms’ participation of the 2007 American Black Film Festival.

“In support of our nine-year sponsor relationship with Lincoln, we are interested in creating an integrated marketing and public relations platform that incorporates the full spectrum of their consumer base,” said Dolly Turner, ABFF vice president of Sponsorship & Licensing.

“Automotive Rhythms, Lincoln and the ABFF all appeal to upscale African Americans who over index in the luxury consumer category. We are pleased to have Automotive Rhythms as a media partner in 2007,” Turner continued. For 2007, the ABFF, which had been held for the past five years in Miami, has relocated to Los Angeles, with festival activities centered in West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The ABFF intends to work closely with film studios and create a more potent marketplace for buyers and producers of independent Black cinema. The Los Angeles locale will foster an opportunity for an increased number of film screenings, greater access to studio acquisition executives and an expanded program of film symposiums and seminars.

Founded in 1997, the American Black Film Festival’s mission is to strengthen the Black filmmaking community through resource sharing, education, artistic collaboration and career development. The ABFF was born out of the need to spearhead distribution opportunities for independent Black films and promote cultural diversity within the motion picture industry.
