Lincoln Teams with Magic Johnson: A Night of Elegance
What happens when Washington DC’s premier night spot. Lincoln and an NBA legend team up? Nothing short of a magical event, Lincoln partnered with Earvin “Magic” Johnson to showcase their newest product, the Mark LT luxury pickup. To reveal the new vehicle, a series of trendy lifestyle events were launched to appeal to the urban chic. So it was no surprise to see Lincoln and Magic Johnson present the newest star, the Mark LT, at Dream Night Club. The invitation-only evening was hosted by radio personality Russ Parr.
A special edition Mark LT customized by DUB included a bedcover that will be autographed by celebrities and auctioned on-line. The proceeds will go to the Magic Johnson Foundation, which focuses on supporting organizations that serve the health, education, and social needs of inner-city communities. The Mark LT was boastfully situated by the Red Carpet, ready to be test driven by DC area celebrities and VIPs. After riding the latest and greatest of the Lincoln family, we were all welcomed into Dream Nightclub, where fine cuisine and drinks flowed while listening to the classic hits of yesterday and today. Among VIPs were NBA player Sam Cassell, Sister2Sister’s Jamie Foster Brown, Publisher of On Wheels, Inc., Randi Payton, and of course the crew from Automotive Rhythms.
Ready for more? The second floor revealed more music and entertainment by renowned TV host and celebrity chef, G. Garvin. And if that wasn’t enough, we all began to feel like teenagers again when Ronnie, Johnny, Ralph, Ricky, and Mike of New Edition took the stage. I found myself singing along to the classic hit, “Candy Girl” and listening to the sultry voice of Johnny Gill as he poured his heart into “Boys to Men.” The party continued well after the performance and the evening was truly a night of elegance!
