Welcome to the Viceroy Santa Monica where The Lincoln Motor Company and Automotive Rhythms presented an Afternoon of Luxury: The Feeling Stays showcasing the all-new 2016 Lincoln MKX within the vibrant beach and lifestyle setting. The luxury crossover introduces “Quiet Luxury” by way of a safe, comfortable ride, a warm tailored experience and a thoughtful elegant design.
This daytime soiree kicked off the 2015 LA Auto Show and presented attendees the opportunity to experience the Lincoln brand, complete with tests drive of their current vehicle lineup. On hand were a bevy of vehicles such as the Lincoln MKX, the Lincoln MKC, the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid and the Lincoln Navigator. Guests were treated to complimentary valet and then met by a Lincoln Brand Ambassador for an escort into the Afternoon of Luxury festivities. In addition, nostalgia was introduced by way of the immaculate 1969 Lincoln Continental on display by Automotive Rhythms’ west coast division.
Sunny skies and palm trees blowing in the wind along the Santa Monica coastline created an idyllic scene for all partaking in the informational ride-and-drive. In typical Automotive Rhythms fashion, patrons enjoyed a mix of couture fashion, live entertainment and complimentary food and beverages. The opulent fashion show was curated by Beauty and Style Expert Melissa Hibbert of the GLAM Agency where models ripped the covered pool styled from The Walter Collection and Okera Banks OTG Essentials Collection. We were all amazed by the elegant ball gowns and hip, trendy fashions. Soon after the runway excitement actor and singer Jussie Smollett took to the stage to perform his hits from Fox’s Empire. Positive vibrations were flowing as smiles, congenial conversation and incessant social media postings highlighted this spectacle which has a reputation for raising the consumer satisfaction bar each subsequent year.
An Afternoon of Luxury was hosted by Lifestyle Specialist Miss Diddy, known as a respected marketer, brander and power broker behind some of LA’s premiere events. She’s also distinguished for her work within the music industry and with artists across the globe. Along with a bevy of sleek and stylish Lincoln sedans and SUVs, the Viceroy Santa Monica was transformed into a stunning and intimate boutique for celebrities, musicians, influencers and tastemakers. In fact, Lori Adams and her brand LA Connects were a substantial reason why so many significant individuals were in attendance. Her professionalism, charm and word of honor are well-respected within the entertainment world.
Revel by Harman delivered a true sound experience through the Revel Sound Lounge which replicated the automotive rhythms received when driving in your new Lincoln such as the MKX. DJ B-Hen sound-tracked the afternoon with an eclectic mix of soulful vibes which hypnotized the crowd into a Soul Train line with actress Vanessa A. Williams showing off her dance moves. Lincoln aficionados dined on complimentary hors d’oeuvres from the Viceroy along with wine tastings. Also on hand were Lincoln inspired signature cocktails such as the “Center Stage,” “Chroma Flame” and the “Notorious Indulgence.” Lincoln swag bags for all test drive participants came complete with Mothers car care products, LA auto show tickets, Empire download cards, Taliah Waajid natural hair care products, Lincoln Date Night gifts, Jessicurl Curly hair products and Drip Swimwear.

As Lincoln continues great strides in reinventing their DNA within the automotive world, events such as this are imperative to the growth of the all-new Lincoln brand,” enthusiastically and poignantly stated Shawn Thompson, Lincoln Multicultural Marketing Manager.
