The Buick Verano sedan is the brand’s third new model in the past two years and first in the compact luxury segment. It goes on sale late 2011 with an Ecotec 2.4-liter engine and six-speed automatic transmission with 177-horsepower and 170 lb.-ft. torque and 0-60 mph in 8 seconds. Buick expects 31 mpg on the highway. A 2-liter turbo will be offered in the future.
