The 1500 Series is the breadwinner of the pickup market, so manufacturers like Ram have to be super assertive with their offerings. Power for the 2013 Ram 1500 originates from either the enhanced HEMI 5.7-liter V8 with Fuel Saver Technology or the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engine. The HEMI will give you 395 horsepower and 407 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,950 rpm while the Pentastar offers a substantial 305 horsepower and 269 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,175 rpm. Our favorite offering of the new Ram is the 4 Corner Air Suspension, which Ram says is probably their biggest singular improvement.
