Welcome to the Atlantic Beach Bike Fest which kicked off with Uptown Motorsports and the baddest baggers in town. The cast from Backyard Baggers was on hand to judge the loudest bagger contest and just down the street the Bike Week Expo was home to industry heavy weights Myrtle West Customs, Roaring Toyz, Garwood Custom Cycles, Tricked Out Cycles and Throttle Life magazine. But the excitement didn’t stop there. Bike Week Expo aka the “Hot Spot” also included a sick stunt show from Team Myrtle West with female stunt sensation Christina “Crashtina” Billings who showed girl-power alongside her male teammates Ryan Lanier and the recently deceased Patrick Thomas.
Automotive Rhythms showcased the 2014 Toyota Tundra 1794 Special Edition Crew Max 4×4 to thousands of riders in town for the festivities. Why not utilize one of the toughest trucks around to tote your bike in this perfect environment? With 381-horsepower stemming from the 5.7-liter V8 the heavy duty truck provides more than enough power for towing and is a showstopper in the styling department.
Blue skies and balmy mid 80-degree weather was the setting throughout our road trip to Myrtle Beach for the Bike Fest that attracted bikers from far and near including those arriving on custom sportbikes, fat tires, cruisers and in custom cars and SUVs. The sounds of aftermarket exhausts were heard from sun up to sun down, and traffic was atrocious on Ocean Blvd a.k.a “the strip” due to all motors on wheels descending onto the 2-lane road. Additionally, the custom bike show wowed the crowd with some of the slickest customs on the motorcycle scene.
There is so much more to Bike Week which can only be absorbed by a direct attendance. The bike shows, charity rides and the Biker’s Choice Awards are only a few activities that take place during this momentous week. Enjoy the gallery.
