Jack Frost decided to grace An Evening of Style with his presence once again on the annual commencement of the Washington Auto Show kick-off affair. Automotive Rhythms (AR), Cadillac, NAMAD and BOSE collectively presented and celebrated the 2016 installation of the city’s largest convention center gathering at the artsy Long View Gallery in the Nation’s Capital. With prior AR events attended by national celebrities, local politicians, tastemakers and socialites, this year maintained the equivalent theme. Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser blessed the evening as well as Grammy nominated singer and songwriter Raheem DeVaughn who both highly enjoyed the festivities. Luxury car brand Cadillac provided an exclusive experience by highlighting the seductive 2016 CTS-V performance sedan.
As snowfall hit the scene in preparation of the region’s historic 30” snowfall and blizzard, close to 400 guests paid homage to AR’s 14th Washington Auto Show Party. A glamorizing fashion component was commissioned by internationally known designer Kenneth “KAS” Flanagan, who specializes in men and women’s wear at his unique, upscale boutique under the moniker KAS Collection. KAS presents timeless, sexy and sophisticated clothing to individuals of relevance with services such as custom designs, personal shopping and apparel organization. Kenneth paired each opulent Cadillac with a still model to highlight the auto brand’s true identity.
Everyone grooved to the rhythmic talent of DJ Jerome Baker III through BOSE’s professional entertainment system while CBS and WPGC host Guy Lambert kept patrons entertained and amused. Delectable finger foods were provided by Well Dunn Catering and Effen Vodka, Courvoisier, Heineken and Voss Water happily liquefied the festive moods of guests. Washington, D.C. area Cadillac dealers Capitol Cadillac and Lindsay Cadillac both offered stunning Escalades as well as swag bag product inclusive of auto show tickets and Mother’s Car Care supplies. In addition, BOSE put smiles on AR VIP faces with prestigious audio gifts and both Bridgestone and Michelin raffled off sets of 20” rubber. Lastly, a very chic array of fedoras and caps from Goorin’s Georgetown shop were on display as well.
