Automotive Rhythms made it back to energetic Los Angeles to celebrate ESPN’s 2014 ESPY Awards with fever and style. The luxurious SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills played host to our BMW ride and drive, along with a private and congratulatory dinner on the terrace of the property’s popular The Bazaar by José Andrés. This is a time when athletes come together and commune to enjoy magnificent German vehicles, a delicious 6-course meal while discussing their sports accolades and achievements over the past year. VIP guests were able to drive an i3, M6, M5, Alpina B7 or simply interact with the innovative i8.
Extended test drives of the new vehicles were offered to each guest for their respect and appreciation of the BMW Brand. Serge Ibaka from the OKC Thunder, fresh off his magazine cover of ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue, thoroughly enjoyed the 760 along with songstress Keri Hilson who showed her excitement for the big body BMW. NaVorro Bowman from the San Francisco 49ers was a big fan of the 7 Series as well, stating that it fits his size and style. Marcellus Wiley from the ESPNs’ Max and Wiley Show could not get away from the BMW i8. Along with his family, Wiley made sure that they got a good look and feel before heading out to the next three ESPY events on his itinerary.
Attendees were gifted Harman/Kardon CL high-performance on-ear headphones and BMW M caps for their time and efforts. The matte black housing and steel trim CLs feature an Apple three-button (MFi) remote, 2-D folding mechanism for easy storage in the premium carry pouch, and user-exchangeable metal headbands for maximum comfort! Harman also engineers the head unit and iDrive for BMW.
