The Shelby G.T.500CR 900S model starts with a legend, and infuses it with modern supercar technology resulting in the looks of a classic 1967 Shelby G.T.500 but with the performance of a 780 horsepower supercharged engine, advanced multi-link race car inspired suspension, an opulent custom interior and modern turn-key reliability.
Custom coachbuilder Classic Recreations has made headlines with its hand-built Shelby G.T.500CR, an incredible combo of retro looks and high-tech handling. Previous 525 and 545 models raised the bar with modern fuel injected engines, upgraded suspension and power rack and pinion steering, model specific bodywork, custom paint and hand-stitched upholstery, allowing fans of Shelby’s iconic styling to experience the pleasure of owning one of these classic pony cars without giving up the power and performance of a modern sports car.
Like every 1967 G.T.500CR, the 900S model is a bespoke sports car hand assembled in Oklahoma, where artisans build every component of the car – from the hand-stitched leather upholstery to the clean-room assembled blueprinted engine to the final paintwork, which is hand rubbed for nearly 100 hours to a glistening mile-deep shine.
The 900S takes the G.T.500CR to a new level. Debuting in signature Shelby “Stetson Black”, the super snake maintains an authentic Shelby look, but boosts output to 780hp with an F1-R Intercooled ProCharger supercharged 427 cubic inch (7.0L) engine. The interior is upgraded with a 200mph speedometer and racing-style bucket seats. The 900S also boasts suspension and chassis upgrades as well as 17×11″ rear wheels and wider ultra high performance Nitto 555 series tires. The exterior is available in five different color schemes and features authentic Shelby Performance parts, such as lights, emblems and a real Shelby Le Mans racing gas cap.
