Aston Martin is bringing something special to Monterey Car Week this year, timed to the 75th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The British brand is unveiling three one-off DB12 S models built by its bespoke division, Q by Aston Martin, along with the debut of the new Vanquish 25 Special Edition.
The 2026 Concours will spotlight early 1950s sports cars and the racing heritage that helped shape Pebble Beach into the event it is today. Aston Martin wanted its own tribute to fit that theme, so the Q team looked back to 1951, when the factory racing squad ran three DB2s at Le Mans and other races that year. Each car carried the British plates VMF 63, VMF 64, and VMF 65, and each wore a different colored grille for styling separation.
Seventy-five years later, those three vehicles have brought about a new trio of DB12 S Coupes. VMF 63 wears Rosso Red accents, VMF 64 gets Speed Yellow detailing, and VMF 65 carries Ellwood Blue highlights. All three are finished in Carbon Black paint with painted grille vanes, ‘75’ fender roundels, and painted carbon fiber side strakes. At the rear, a painted carbon fiber Aeroblade and a DB2 foil overlay complete the look.
Inside, the supercars receive contrast stitching that corresponds to the exterior hue, along with subtle DB2 silhouette embroidery on the front seatbacks and ‘75’ roundel graphics on the rear. The start/stop button and paddle shifters are painted to match, and each also carries its own bespoke ‘75’ sill plaque referencing the first DB2s.
“Being given the opportunity to create something bespoke for this incredibly special occasion has been a real honor for the team,” said Vittorio Gabba, Head of Q at Aston Martin. “I hope and believe these very special models are a fitting tribute to what has become one of the largest automotive occasions.”
The three DB12 S tribute cars are just a part of what Aston Martin has planned for Monterey Car Week. The brand returns to The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, on Friday, August 14, at The Quail Lodge & Golf Club, an event that’s brought together collectors and designers for more than two decades.
The festivities kick off a couple of days earlier with Astons on the Avenue on Wednesday, August 12. Put together with the Aston Martin Owners Club, the event fills Ocean Avenue in Carmel-by-the-Sea with Aston Martins old and new. Organizers are pledging an even bigger turnout than last year’s event, which supports the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
As usual, The House of Aston Martin will host guests throughout the week. This year’s location sits next to the Poppy Hills Golf Course, where guests can spec out their next Aston Martin and enjoy activities put on with partners including Bollinger, Bowers & Wilkins, Breitling, Glenfiddich, and Elemis.
The property will also display some of Aston Martin’s newest models, including the Valhalla supercar and the recently launched S-badged lineup: DB12 S, Vantage S, and DBX S. A heritage DB2 will be on hand too, linking back to the inspiration behind the new VMF tribute cars.
Also on display will be the new Vanquish 25 Special Edition, another Q by Aston Martin creation. Built in limited numbers to mark 25 years after the original V12 Vanquish debuted, the special edition borrows details and spec cues from that original car while featuring modern handcraft touches.
