When you think of Miami and its wondrous beaches the first thing that comes to mind is heat; and not that NBA team with the three superstars. We’re referring to the illustrious atmosphere that comes along with the island feel of the Florida peninsula, immaculate weather, sensual poolsides, sizzling beaches, and an electrifying nightlife. Well, Bentley brought some heat of their own as they revealed their 2012 Continental GT at the boutique Raleigh hotel on 17th and Collins. In attendance were present Bentley owners, business entrepreneurs, Miami influencers and a host of respected media such as Haute Living and Univision. The Continental GT was properly introduced by Bentley president and COO Christophe Georges while head of exterior design Raul Pires offered up the details on the manifestation of the British coupe.
The 2012 Continental GT is the baby of the Bentley range, with even higher performance models due that will bear the name “Speed” and “Supersports.” The GT, which revitalized Bentley upon introduction in 2003, is for real. The latest model, priced at $189,900, represents a solid leap forward for an already exemplary automobile. Styling for 2012 is evolutionary. It’s a graceful design that is also quite bold. Superior aerodynamics not only lends to the beauty of the GT, but helps achieve its stunning top speed numbers. Along the sides, chiseled wheel arches front and rear house standard 20-inch wheels and are accentuated by a sharp beltline crease that extends from the front air dam to the rear wheel arch.
Expect to see the new Bentley GT in showrooms later this spring.
