Congratulations to NASCAR driver Danica Patrick for making history by becoming the first woman in NASCAR to win the prestigious pole position for the grueling and highly competitive NASCAR Sprint Cup Daytona 500. Her qualifying speed of 196.434 made her one of only two racers to drive away with an average speed faster than 196 mph. Veteran Jeff Gordon was the other qualifier. At age 30 , Danica continues to break boundaries by proving women are not only capable of competing in pro racing, but taking charge as well.
