Marco Mattiacci, CEO and President of Ferrari North America, opens the door to a Ferrari F12berlinetta, the first delivery in North America, for Larry Roth of Long Island on Monday, March 18, 2013. Last November Roth had the winning bid for the vehicle – $1.125 million – at an auction hosted by Ferrari to raise funds for those affected by Hurricane Sandy in the tri-state area. The auction was held at the Formula One Grand Prix in Austin, Texas and all proceeds have been donated to The American Red Cross to help communities in need. As a resident of Long Island, Roth knew many people who were impacted by Hurricane Sandy. The Ferrari F12berlinetta will arrive in dealerships in North America in the coming weeks to a waiting list more than a year long, with a starting price of $315,888.
