NFC East Champions Washington Redskins hosted their first playoff game since 1999 this past Sunday while facing the Seattle Seahawks. This was a special game featuring rookie of the year candidates Robert Griffin III and Russell Wilson along with two of the best running backs in the league Alfred Morris and Marshawn Lynch. Being a hometown fan, I could not miss this opportunity to watch this impressive matchup live. So the President and Publisher of Automotive Rhythms, Kimatni Rawlins, was gracious enough to see that I arrived in style with the luxurious Korean touring sedan by Hyundai. Have you heard of the Equus?
From little league all the way to the pros, no football game is complete without a tailgate party. The ride was smooth and trunk space was more than enough to fit our chairs and cooler for the festivities. The parking lot is the stage for all fans to come together and celebrate before the game with music, good food, beverages and jokes. As usual, tailgating is a fun experience for all involved to prepare for the impending and exciting game about to take place.
Though, Automotive Rhythms tailgate sparked more than just Playoff conversation. The Equus was a pleasurable sight by mostly everyone that passed by. Debates about performance, price and brand comparison filled the air. Instantly, many thought it was a Lexus LS. Others had no clue what the prodigious vehicle was. Especially after experiencing the stately interior. “That’s a Hyundai” is all we heard for the rest of the afternoon. TD scored for the Koreans!
This was a true playoff atmosphere. The game was very exciting and the energy within the stadium was electric. Of course this diehard Redskins fan did not like the outcome with a loss and serious knee injury to our star Quarterback RGIII. Yet, there is always next year. At least we stopped the bleeding for a while!
