Nissan Extends Heisman Trophy Partnership

In a ceremony marking the extension of Nissan’s partnership with the Heisman Trophy, Barry Sanders, the Heisman Trophy’s 1988 winner, helped Nissan North America’s Marketing Vice President Jon Brancheau celebrate a new five-year extension of the company’s association with the Heisman Trophy Trust at an event held in conjunction with the 2012 North American International Auto Show.

Under the agreement, which runs through 2016, Nissan becomes the exclusive “Premier Partner” of the Heisman Trophy Trust and will continue with popular fan activities such as the annual Heisman Trophy Tour and awards sweepstakes. The Heisman Trophy annually recognizes the outstanding college football player in the United States. Sanders won the Heisman in his senior season at Oklahoma State and later had a record-setting career with the Detroit Lions.
