Attention DMV riders, we’ve got the inside scoop with some exciting news taking place at the upcoming International Motorcycle Show (IMS) at the Washington Convention Center January 4th thru the 6th.
Suzuki is unveiling one of two custom 2013 Hayabusas as part of their Suzuki Sweepstakes. This is particularly exciting news as the unveiling takes place in the Nation’s Capital opposed to the tour’s largest locations, Long Beach, CA and New York City. The first custom 2013 Hayabusa was introduced to the world during the inaugural Atlanta IMS and created from the amazing talents of Garwood Custom Cycles hailing from Lexington, NC. Going with a peal white and red racing stripes theme, this bike looks to be in motion even at a stand still.
So what’s in store for the Metro unveiling? Unfortunately, at this time we can not disclose much other than sharing that Chicago’s JDA Customs has been selected for the build with support and parts from Icon Apparel, Parts Unlimited, Marks Custom Auto Interiors, Hot Bodies Racing, Yoshimura, Shorai and none other than industry innovators Roaring Toyz. Both custom Hayabusas are valued at more than $25,000 and will be awarded at the end of the tour in Charlotte, NC. Don’t forget this activity is in addition to several other features including the Strider Adventure Zone, a perfect opportunity for the little ones to experience riding using the best balance bike on the market, the Podium which is an information session offering advice and insight for the motorcycle community, the XDL Street Jam, the Pit Stop Challenge, the Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show, the Marketplace, the Ducati Fashion Show, celebrity appearances, and of course all the major manufacturers showing off their new line-ups.
