Special Event Set to Kickoff the 2013 LA Auto Show

 

Los Angeles, CA — The Lincoln Motor Company and Automotive Rhythms present the next chapter of Lincoln luxury as they join forces to showcase the all-new 2015 Lincoln MKC small premium, utility vehicle to the LA lifestyle. The evening will accentuate the vehicle’s stylish and cutting-edge design by making it the centerpiece while driving attendees to indulge in the beauty of the MKC on the runway under the illumination of spotlights, an exquisite demonstration of “High Fashion Illuminated.”

Critically-acclaimed actress Nia Long — best known for her latest role in The Best Man Holiday, in addition to her featured roles in The Best Man, Soul Food and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air — will host the exclusive, star-studded event. Accompanying her will be an assemblage of celebrities, musicians, influencers and tastemakers including (neo-funk soul) band BLACK WAAT3R and DJ B.Hen, who will be sound-tracking the night with his eclectic mix of soulful vibes.

 

Mirroring the MKC’s sleek, sculpted body, Hollywood’s industry renowned Siren Studios will transform into a stunning and dramatic backdrop to the Evening of Style. Guests will enjoy the opportunity to explore Lincoln’s three pillars —Art, Design and Culture—with an interactive photo booth experience that will allow instantaneous sharing to social media. The celebration will also include a conversation moderated by Automotive Rhythms president and publisher, Kimatni D. Rawlins, that features celebrity host Nia Long and Lincoln Marketing Executive Jeff Reid through a discussion of the MKC, its inspirations and the Lincoln Lifestyle.

Lincoln’s MKC, first introduced as a concept vehicle at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, represents a critical milestone in the company’s plan to expand its lineup. Arriving on the heels of the all-new and successful 2013 Lincoln MKZ sedan, MKC becomes the second new vehicle in the brand’s efforts to introduce four new luxury models by 2016. The MKC gives Lincoln a compelling offering in the small premium, utility segment which is the fastest-growing sector of the luxury market.
