2025 BMW M4 CS Coupe: Street Enhanced, Track Specialist

By Kimatni Rawlins

High-tech like an F-22 Raptor jet, agile as Masai Mara cheetahs, and more explosive than the Philadelphia Eagles cyborg running back Saquon Barkley, the 2025 BMW M4 CS Coupe is ready for command whether you are a weekend track warrior or an M enthusiast who reveres daily freeway performance. The AWD super coupe enters the ring with less weight, more power, and sharper handling by way of CS suspension tuning.

Produced in its home country at BMW’s Plant Dingolfing, the M4 CS is powered by the thrilling 3-liter M TwinPower Turbo inline six, distributing 543-horsepower for a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.2 seconds. Paired with BMW’s 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Launch Control and M xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive traction, the German coupe stays planted during aggressive maneuvers and shifts ultra quickly. BMW tested it at Nürburgring’s 12.9-mile Nordschleife circuit and achieved a 7:21.99 lap time. With the standard M Driver’s Package, top speed is electronically limited to 188 mph. Moreover, utilizing drive modes to articulate your vehicle’s characteristics, SPORT and SPORT+ create assertive notes for the quad exhaust tips.

As you know, the DNA of the M4 CS is bred from racing, so the M Carbon bucket seats are extremely snug, the chassis is stiff, the M-developed Servotronic electric power steering is taut, and the low-profile Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires that accommodate the staggered 19”/20” forged M alloy wheels are best when pushed to the limits. The V-spoke rims can be finished in matte Gold Bronze or Matte Black. I was honored to take the coupe for a few spins, but simultaneously, I would require a general ride for daily driving.

Expect to pay $123,500 plus the $1,175 destination and handling fee for your new German love affair. Included in the MSRP are the full leather Merino Anthracite interior, M Sport Differential, Adaptive M Suspension, M seat belts, carbon fiber trim, M Driver’s package, M carbon exterior package, and the 3-spoke M Alcantara steering wheel, which is the sportiest wheel in the business. Not included are the $8,500 M Carbon Ceramic Brakes.

The M4 CS’ technical design and features are futuristic and far from ordinary. Before entering the cockpit, I admired the extensive use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), along with the M carbon roof to reduce weight and contrast with the illuminating Riviera Blue ($4,500) finish. Though, the Frozen Isle of Man Green metallic paint job is a head-turner.

Once inside the motorsports cabin you will take on the persona and hopefully the skillsets of an IMSA driver. To get started, the M setup button takes you directly to the steering, engine, chassis, braking system, and M xDrive configurations. Of course, the two red M buttons in front of the carbon paddle shifters can be individually set to your preferences. For example, place the vehicle in TRACK mode for your circuit ambitions. Other features for chicanes, straits, and double apexes include the M Drift Analyzer, M Laptimer, and M Traction Control with ten settings. The BMW Curved Display and BMW Operating System 8.5 provide the controls and software systems needed to engage navigation, the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, Harman Kardon audio, climate control, and much more.

Are you ready for a potent attitude from your ride? If so, please enjoy the next evolution of The Ultimate Driving Machine in the form of the 2025 BMW M4 CS Coupe. It’s at your disposal with stellar acceleration, pinpoint braking, and slalom-like steering inputs while ripping down runways.
