Motorcycle enthusiasts from across the nation enjoyed the one show that gave them the opportunity to demo hundreds of street bikes, cruisers, dirt bikes and ATVs for riders of all experience levels. The 2013 Progressive International Motorcycle Show descended upon the Washington Convention Center this past weekend showcasing the latest gear and aftermarket accessories, entertainers, seminars and most important of all, the motorcycles.

Race enthusiasts took over the MotoGP section while checking out race bikes from known racers such as Ben Spies and Bradley Smith. For those interested in the custom motorcycle world, J&P Cycles presented the Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show. This is one of the best custom motorcycle shows in the nation showing off stretched swingarm and powder coated sportbikes down to custom painted cruisers with 26” wheels. It was definitely a site to see. An added treat to this years’ show was Suzuki’s two customized 2012 GSX-1300R Hayabusas which were raffled off. Motorcycle stunt fans were not left out with an exhilarating exhibition from the XDL Street . There was no shortage of wheelies, stoppies and burnouts to send the crowd wild. Afterwards, patrons ventured over to the Pit Stop Challenge. This section had two staged motorcycles for contestants to face off in timed drills for a chance to win more prizes. While the adults were busy with the challenge, the kids were busy at the Strider Adventure Zone riding mini bikes around a track and getting a feel for the one thing everyone involved loves, motorcycles.

The 2013 Progressive International Motorcycle Show was a success that fulfilled many patron’s needs and wants. Each year attendance grows along with new innovative attractions to keep the show fresh. I am highly anticipating 2014 already!
