A Sphere of Influence on The Concept Lawn at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance

Experienced by Kimatni D. Rawlins

I always enjoy myself on The Concept Lawn, which features a green sea of elegant, aggressive, and inspirational automotive machines from across the globe. The elaborate ensemble at the 74th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance highlighted an orchestra of defining production models,  concept vehicles, and elite hypercars.

Whether it was Acura’s RSX Prototype in Propulsion Yellow Pearl, Aston Martin’s Valhalla hybrid supercar, Karma Automotive’s Amaris coupé, or Lamborghini’s phenomenal Fenomeno, spectators were gifted with various forms of excitement from the art and innovation on site during Pebble Beach Automotive Week. Here is a selection of Automotive Rhythms’ favorite or most captivating vehicles on display.

Acura RSX Prototype

Finished in Propulsion Yellow Pearl, Acura’s RSX Prototype lit up every scene it attended throughout the week, including The Concept Lawn. The SUV will catapult Acura into the next generation of all-electric performance coming in the second half of 2026. Its software-based systems will introduce the world to ASIMO OS, similar to a smartphone. Through machine learning, ASIMO OS will be able to personalize owner preferences, such as music selections.

Built alongside the Acura Integra on the Marysville Auto Plant production line, the long-wheelbase RSX Prototype is crafted with wide hips from flared wheel wells, contrasting black panels, and massive multi-spoke 21-inch rims. Large front Brembo brakes with bright red calipers halt the utility from high momentum. A full-width rear taillight is borrowed from the second-generation NSX and complemented by the “ACURA” insignia outlined on the tailgate.

Lucid Gravity X

The Lucid Gravity X (Gravity Cross) concept was designed to elaborate on the adventurous capabilities of the all-electric SUV. Its distinctive and formidable features redefine what a trail-ready adventure vehicle could be. I found a mountain bike inside the futuristic cabin with my name written all over it, since that’s my outdoor activity of choice.

For overlanding activities and rough riding through the countryside, the Gravity Cross is blessed with a widened tracked, modular roof system, lifted suspension, 21/22” all-terrain tires, protective skid plates, utility rockers, and integrated tow hooks. Three rows of seating allow up to seven guests to join the journey. Outdoor exploration has never been so thoughtful and electrified.

Aston Martin Valhalla

What is more purifying than a British supercar engaging your senses with 1,064-horsepower while warping at the speed of light up to 217 mph? The first-ever mid-engine PHEV model from Aston Martin, the Valhalla is inspired by the Valkyrie and enhanced with Formula 1 specifications. The Nordic naming convention adds Viking blood to the edgy coupé’s performance capabilities, such as torque vectoring, active aerodynamics, a 4.0-liter, twin turbo V8 engine, three e-Motors (two on the front axle and one on the rear axle), and an 8-speed dual clutch transmission with e-Reverse. The Valhalla reaches 0-62 mph in a staggering 2.5 seconds!

Limited to just 999 examples, the supercar is strengthened and sculpted with a bespoke carbon fiber tub in partnership with AMPT (Aston Martin Performance Technologies), carbon fiber composite body panels, a carbon fiber front splitter, a mammoth carbon fiber rear diffuser and active rear wing, an impressive roof scoop for engine air intake and transmission cooling, and Dihedral doors. Are you ready to drive with distinction?

Karma Amaris

Karma Automotive is not a car company; it’s an experience company. The Orange County-based manufacturer continues to center itself at premier car shows and events that honor the finest in automotive design, performance, and innovation. Executives at Karma utilized the opportunity to showcase the elegant Amaris, a specialized luxury coupé pushing out 708-horsepower and 676 ft-lb of torque for a 0-60 mph time in less than 3.5 seconds.

The Amaris is the company’s first production two-door coupé and features a powerful Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) powertrain wrapped in a striking blueprint. The American-built vehicle comprises an aluminum and carbon fiber body, 22″ Constellation rims, swan doors, an aero pass-through spoiler, and side exhaust.

Lamborghini Fenomeno

Flamboyant, dramatic, and all-mighty, the Lamborghini Fenomeno is the next hypercar from Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, to receive supernatural powers. Exclusivity is the name of the game for this unique and potent model since Lamborghini will only commission 29 selective orders.

The Fenomeno boasts a hybrid architecture that pairs an 835-horsepower 6.5-liter V12 aspirated engine with three electric motors. Two 110 kW front electric motors provide torque vectoring and regenerative braking functions. A third is built into the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission for a total system horsepower of 1,080. This Raging Bull sprints from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.4 seconds and can accelerate to 124 mph in 6.7 seconds, on its way to reaching a top speed of over 217 mph.

Custom-engineered Bridgestone Potenza Sport ultra-high-performance tires—available in 265/30 ZRF21 front and 355/25 ZRF22 rear sizes—are featured on the Fenomeno to deliver outstanding performance at top speeds, excellent steering responses, and the precision required to handle the supercar’s output. High-grip, semi-slick bespoke Bridgestone tires will also be available.

The Fenomeno celebrates the 20-year anniversary of the Lamborghini Centro Stile and is fully customizable through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program. It fuses art, technology, and extreme performance.

Maserati MCPURA

Delectable Italian food, idyllic Italian vacations, venerated Italian fashion, and beautiful Italian cars are the recipe for luxurious lifestyles that honor decades of hard-earned work. To that point, the ambitious and attractive Maserati MCPURA in an Ai Aqua Rainbow hue is fitting for a Day in the Life of your highlighted activities. An evolution of the automaker’s MC20 Halo Car, it represents the Trident’s fundamental tenets of elegance, sportiness, and performance.

Derived from Modena, the super sports car’s Nettuno V6 engine with F1 enhancements distributes 621-horsepower, allowing the handcrafted carbon fiber coupé to whisk by with efficiency. Highlights include GT2 Stradale details, “Butterfly” doors, a redesigned cockpit accentuated by Alcantara Ice seats, a new steering wheel, and a premium Sonus faber audio system enlightened by nature. Engineered to inspire, it is striking, powerful, and profoundly organic for audiophiles with a distinctive ear.

Available as a coupé or Cielo convertible with a retractable glass roof featuring opaque capability, orders are open for North American customers passionate about performance.

Lexus Sport Concept

The global debut of the Lexus Sport Concept took everyone by surprise with its evolutionary, bold, and competitive physique. The progressively styled, future-focused yet authentic sports car signals the way forward for Lexus design. This inspiring concept features a wide and low profile, two-door design, and strong creases that blend dynamic and emotional elements into a vision for a next-generation sports car.

This dynamic art piece draws inspiration from previous high-performance Lexus coupés while forging a new, modern, and visual theme for the Japanese luxury brand, which continues to focus on advanced electrification architecture.

Cadillac SOLLEI Concept

There is nothing modest about the Cadillac SOLLEI Concept. Majestic in all facets, the opulent 2+2 all-electric convertible is fitting for royalty. Defined as sun (‘SOL’) and leisure (‘LEI’), SOLLEI represents Cadillac’s optimism for an open-air, leisurely lifestyle. The extended Manila Cream body and long coupé door create a comfortable space for all four participants.

The bespoke model is equipped with the brand’s signature 55-inch pillar-to-pillar display screen, exterior lighting choreography for arrival and departure, and an intuitive front and rear command console to represent an ultimate expression for a coach-built vehicle. The interior channels Cadillac’s “art of travel” design philosophy. SOLLEI is Cadillac’s first concept vehicle to incorporate a bio-based material developed in collaboration with MycoWorks.

Mercedes-AMG CONCEPT AMG GT XX

The future of performance is on its way – with exceptional technology, outstanding endurance, hyper-fast charging, and a highly emotional design.

The CONCEPT AMG GT XX is a pioneering technology program that offers an impressive look into a forthcoming 4-door series-production sports car from Mercedes‑AMG. With three axial flux motors and a high-performance 800V lithium-ion battery developed from scratch, the brand from Affalterbach presents a revolutionary drive concept that delivers a whole new dimension of performance through its AMG Electric Architecture.

Thanks to a peak output of over 1,341-horsepower, the CONCEPT AMG GT XX can reach speeds of more than 223 mph. Combined with the new high-tech battery, the three axial-flux motors achieve entirely new levels of energy.

Bentley EXP 15

Like every Bentley, the EXP 15 features details inspired by Bentley cars of the past. Its upright grille, ‘endless’ bonnet, three-seat layout, and rearward cabin are all deliberately derived from the iconic 1930 Bentley Speed Six ‘Blue Train’ grand tourer.

The designers sought new opportunities to tailor the collector’s item to its owners’ lifestyles, with numerous dual-use features. A pivotal principle is the EXP 15’s ‘Iconic Grille,’ reinterpreted as a sculpture in light, with diamond-matrix LED details emanating from a vertical line at its center. In the rear, a boot space takes on the secondary role of picnic seating when the car is stationary.

In parallel with the unveiling of EXP 15, Bentley revealed a new ‘Winged B’ logo. The original was designed in 1919 and has only been amended four times since. This fifth iteration preserves key details, including the diamond pattern of the inner wings and the B ‘center jewel’—which has been redesigned for use with or without the wings.

See you next year for the 2026 show!
