This year, The Driving Force internship program and Automotive Rhythms proudly partnered with Kia America to offer an unforgettable experiential learning opportunity for students at Bowie State University. This collaboration celebrates creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, core pillars that drive both industry and education forward.
The selected students were part of Bowie State’s Visual Communication & Digital Media Arts (VCDMA) program and the Entrepreneurship Innovation Center which represented the very best of ambition, leadership, and creative excellence. Their work reflects the university’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of visionaries, business leaders, and changemakers.

This partnership highlights Bowie State University’s long-standing dedication to creating bridges between academic spaces and industry leaders. Through its collaboration with Automotive Rhythms, a leading automotive lifestyle media and experiential marketing company, the university continues to expand meaningful, career-building pathways for its students in the automotive industry. Together, Bowie State University and Automotive Rhythms are setting a new standard for workforce development by ensuring students are prepared, connected, and empowered to thrive in competitive professional environments.
Importantly, this partnership could not have been possible without the direct support and dedication of Bowie State’s faculty and leadership, Professor Maggy Francois, Chairperson Mr. Tewodross Williams, and Johnetta Hardy, Executive Director of the Entrepreneurship Innovation Center, along with the teachers and professors who consistently champion student success. Their commitment to mentorship, excellence, and professional development played a crucial role in bringing this impactful internship experience to life.

“Education is the passport to our future,” and through strategic partnerships such as this one, Bowie State University reinforces its mission to give students access to top-tier learning experiences. Working directly with Kia America and Automotive Rhythms allowed students to gain real-world insights, develop professional-level creative work, and build relationships that will shape their careers for years to come.
Congratulations to our outstanding students on completing their first paid internship with Kia America and Automotive Rhythms. Their accomplishments reflect not only their exceptional talent but also the strong institutional partnerships that continue to elevate Bowie State University’s academic and creative ecosystem.
