Cadillac defies expectations and catapults into a new era with its first-ever high-performance electric vehicle, the 2026 LYRIQ-V. As the name implies, the brand’s battery-powered luxury crossover has been tuned by the talented minds at GM’s performance division and rides on an advanced Dual-Motor AWD platform.
The LYRIQ-V delivers 615-horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque to achieve a Cadillac-estimated 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds with Velocity Max engaged. This unique model has now become the fastest Cadillac ever! When the 102 kWh battery is fully charged, the LYRIQ-V can travel up to 285 miles. Moreover, the energetic crossover’s DC Fast Charging capabilities restore 75 miles of range in ten minutes.

A 5-link independent suspension with continuous damping control, front Brembo performance calipers, and 22” alloy wheels keep the SUV planted and stabilized. Other technology and design achievements include a 33″ diagonal LED display, a 23-speaker AKG Studio audio system with Dolby Atmos, and Competitive Mode, which enables traction management features specifically engineered to increase agility.
“LYRIQ-V brings luxury, technology, and performance together to push its capabilities to the limit,” said Dave Stutzman, LYRIQ-V chief engineer. “With the combination of its rigid body structure and lower center of gravity, our team was able to improve the suspension to achieve the right level of precision and isolation, adding to its outstanding canyon-carving abilities.”

The LYRIQ-V couldn’t have come at a better time. The brand hopes its successful family sales will continue with the top-of-the-line V-Series iteration. However, this won’t be the only new EV from the Detroit automaker launching in 2025 since Cadillac plans to compete in each EV segment. The game plan incorporates the three-row VISTIQ, touting 300 miles of range and a 3.7 second 0-60 mph time, and the OPTIQ, a midsize crossover aiming to become an alternative to the Tesla Model Y.
From a racing perspective, Cadillac’s most significant developments are highlighted by its 2026 Formula One entry. GM is collaborating with United Kingdom-based TWG Motorsports to craft a specialized powertrain for the race-ready machines. While we won’t see an F1 Cadillac on the track until next year, racing fans can follow the V-Series.R prototypes in the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) series.
It’s safe to say Cadillac has entered another golden era in the performance department! Expect a starting MSRP of $79,990 for the LYRIQ-V, including the destination charge.
