Automotive Rhythms 10-Year Anniversary Celebration with Infiniti

Earlier this week on the eve of the 2012 Washington Auto Show, Automotive Rhythms (AR) and VIP guests and friends celebrated its 10-Year Anniversary. The celebration was held at the Longview Gallery, a unique art gallery and venue that allowed us to host luxury vehicles from our major automotive partner Infiniti. Inside, we showcased the all-new 2013 JX and 2012 FX35 Sport-Utility Vehicles. Outside, the QX56, M35 Hybrid and M35 sports sedan held it down, allowing event attendees to witness firsthand how high Infiniti has raised the bar with new technology, safety and performance. Thanks to Steve Oldham of Infiniti for his “infinite” support of AR!

District of Columbia Mayor Vincent Gray kicked the evening off righteously, commending AR and its President and Publisher Kimatni D. Rawlins for a decade of success, accomplishments and re-inventing automotive publishing. Having the Mayor of the most important city in the world open the evening was an honor for us all. We were also pleased to have in attendance Warren Thompson, CEO of Thompson Hospitality (the industry’s largest black owned hospitality company), Delegate Herman Taylor, Kenny Flanagan of KAS Collection, Tracy Goins of Under Armour, John O’Donnell, Executive VP of the Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association (WANADA), a few Washington Redskins, local and automotive media, and key industry influencers

DJ Blinks spun enthusiastic tunes by way of Bose’s incredible L1 Model II speaker system. KAS Collection integrated his distinguished designs with the on scene Infiniti vehicles, and provided the requisite celebration gear for Kimatni, who looked like he was primed for his first fashion show. Door prizes consisting of Bose QC15 headphones, Goodyear tires, AR Gear and dinner at Smith Commons kept the crowd very energized while libations were provided by Ciroc, Courvoisier, Bartenura Moscato and Heineken. In addition, all guests received a complimentary ticket to attend the auto show.

To close the evening, Kimatni Rawlins addressed the crowd of several hundred well wishers: “I want to personally thank AR’s readers, viewers and listeners for being the impetus that drives our innovative programming every day. Through you, we’ve shifted the traditional automotive reporting paradigm. Pick your favorite beats, lay out your favorite gear, and stay on the AR train as we lock down the next ten years and beyond. I promise you, the next ten will be even more exciting as we continue to push the edge. Let’s do it together. One love!”
