The Kobe and Gianna Bryant tribute continues as Shawn “SP The Plug” Perkins and his protege CMO Dinero laid down the “Mamba Mentality” on Automotive Rhythms Toyota Supra in ART-of-Motion at the 2020 Washington Auto Show. The vehicle was painted over ten days and garnered the attention of thousands of car enthusiasts passing through the energetic exhibit.

The trendsetting urban art display featured graphic backdrops consisting of painted autos, tuned cars, custom bikes, eclectic murals, artist exhibits, and a barber shot dubbed In The Cut. Designers painted vehicles and murals live for show attendees to experience. Toyota participated by including the dynamic Supra, which was stylized by SP The Plug, who grew up a huge Kobe Bryant fan. In fact, the Lakers’ legend is the reason the urban artist took up the sport of basketball.

The vehicle has since left the auto show and is now making appearances at various car shows, schools, and playgrounds for fans — young and old — to witness in action. In particular, a large group of Kobe aficionados at the “Montgomery County 124 Park and Ride” car show in Gaithersburg were fascinated. They took to social media to show their respect for the Supra art car.

Rest in power, Kobe, Gigi, and the seven other lives lost in the accident. Your memories will continue to live on in our hearts!
