In typical fashion, Honda ensured that media guests participated in the open-air Honda Marine experience to and from dinner on the eve of the 2025 Motul Petit Le Mans. The early evening was beautiful and free while coasting about 40 miles an hour on the enchanting Lake Lanier in Honda’s BF-350 Pontoon Boat powered by its V8 BF350 engine.
I also rode in the new McLaren M300 engine-powered watercraft, which fills the popular “300” segment that Honda does not participate in. McLaren purchases a Honda 250 and strategically enhances it to produce 300-horsepower.

“The business strategy for Honda Marine is rooted in the Honda Vision for 2030: serving people worldwide through the pursuit of the highest-quality products and advanced, integrated solutions that fulfill expectations of society, meet individual needs, improve daily lives, and bring even greater joy,” said Kevin Mills, assistant vice president, Honda Power Sports & Products.

While taking in the fresh air hovering over the 38,000 acres of water, the man-made Lake Lanier is special to residents and visitors of the recreational facilities as it covers a few counties and hosts the North Georgia Mountains (Blue Ridge Mountains), which feed it with water from the Chattahoochee and Chestatee Rivers. The Honda Marine BF350 experience is rooted in powerful, reliable performance and strongly tied to harmony in motion, where elegance, comfort, and peace of mind connect adventurers to nature through water.
Whether auto racing, flying, or boating, Honda impressively has its hands in every segment of the mobility industry.
