After piloting the fastest ever lap of a production sedan at the Nürburgring Nordschleife behind the wheel of the XE SV Project 8, driver Vincent Radermecker attempted to set a production sedan lap record in the XE 300 Sport at Circuit de Charade in Clermont Ferrand, France. With a roundabout and two narrow gateways not used in the original circuit to contend with, Vincent lapped the demanding track – affectionately called the French Nürburgring — in just 4 minutes 9 seconds at an average speed of 72mph (116km/h).
