It was a magical evening this past week infused with electrifying energy from a restless city awaiting an escape from a week filtered with rain and chill winds. However, blessings arrived in the form of early spring weather for Automotive Rhythms’ (AR) “Evening of Style” celebration with American auto luxury brand Cadillac. The modish function, which introduced Washingtonians to the 2017 Washington Auto Show, was also championed by Washington DC Area Cadillac Dealers, BOSE, NAMAD, WANADA, and CNPR to collectively present and celebrate AR’s 16th annual auto show affair at the swank Long View Gallery in the nation’s capital.
AR events are routinely attended by national celebrities, local politicians, tastemakers and socialites with this year being no different. Special guest hosts included NFL star Rodney McLeod of the Philadelphia Eagles and WPGC and Fox 5’s Guy Lambert. In addition “Evening of Style” was sanctified by Jerome Couplin III, DB for the Los Angeles Rams, John O’Donnell, Executive VP of the Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association, Fox 5’s Michelin Bowman, SiriusXM Radio’s Michel Wright, and visual artist Shawn Perkins who painted a Cadillac Concept on site within three hours. Amongst the socializing and networking Cadillac provided an exclusive experience by spotlighting their all-new CT6 sedan and XT5 SUV inside the art gallery.
Well over 600 guests paid homage to AR’s 2017 Washington Auto Show party with a glamorizing fashion element commissioned by internationally known designer Kenneth “KAS” Flanagan who specializes in men’s and women’s wear at his unique, upscale boutique under the moniker KennyKAS Custom. The enchanting collection presents timeless, sexy and sophisticated clothing to individuals of relevance with services such as custom designs, personal shopping and apparel organization. Kenneth paired each opulent Cadillac with a still model to highlight the auto brand’s true identity.
Attendees grooved to the soulful tunes of DJ Blinks through BOSE’s professional entertainment system, gratis cuisine was provided by Well Dunn Catering, and Courvoisier signature spirits, MIOLO Wine, and Heineken beer happily liquefied the festive moods of our guests. The first 200 received a Cadillac swag bag inclusive of a ticket to the auto show, Frosch car care products, Tetley Tea, Cadillac memorabilia and more. In addition, BOSE put smiles on AR VIP faces with prestigious audio gifts while Bridgestone, BF Goodrich and Michelin raffled off sets of 20” rubber. Goodyear sent over two sets of racing shoes for lucky winners! Lastly, a very chic array of fedoras and caps from Goorin’s Georgetown shop were on display as well.
