Goodyear becomes the first tire manufacturer to sell online, offering Chicago drivers the option to purchase tires and installation on its website, Goodyear.com

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has become the first tire manufacturer to simplify the tire-buying process by offering consumers the option to purchase tires and installation on its website, Goodyear.com.

The e-commerce program, announced today in Chicago, has been designed with the changing needs of consumers in mind. It provides a simple, seamless transaction from purchase to installation—with transparent, upfront pricing. By visiting Goodyear.com, Chicago drivers can become some of the first in the nation to purchase Goodyear tires online. The company plans to expand the program to additional markets over the next several weeks.

“For consumers who prefer the convenience and control of online shopping, this program provides a welcome option,” said Mike Dauberman, Goodyear’s senior director of marketing and interactive. “Goodyear.com now offers Chicago drivers a simple online shopping experience, the superior performance of Goodyear tires and the confidence of having them installed by an authorized local installer.”

Consumers can purchase tires online from any computer or mobile device by visiting Goodyear.com. After identifying their vehicle or tire size, available Goodyear tire options are provided, along with clear information to help consumers make the right tire selection. The consumer then schedules an appointment for tire installation at an authorized installer of their choice and the purchase is completed on Goodyear.com. Tire and installation costs are paid online and upfront, allowing consumers to simply show up for the appointment at their scheduled installation time.
