College Parking Tuning (CPT) kicks off the car show season every year in April with one of the largest showcases to hit the DMV (DC, Maryland and Virginia) area. With over 3,000 attendees and rising annually, the Automotive Rhythms team ascertains that it is a must attend. CPT started off as a small event on the University of Maryland campus but has grown and was using the Bowie Baysox baseball stadium as its new home. But Maryland renovated the campus and added more parking. So this year the car show returned to its origin in Colleague Park and Automotive Rhythms showed up – stunning the crowd –with a pre-production 2015 Volkswagen Golf R.
The Golf is already in the automotive aftermarket world, especially the GTI. Starting at $37,415, the VW also offers hatchback convenience, with a fresh interior. The Golf R is everything the GTI is, but has more power. Automotive Rhythms was fortunate enough to bring out a pre-production model for the public to see. The Golf R is an all-out performance version with a 292-horsepower turbo 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, AWD, a sport suspension, 18” wheels, quad tailpipes and a 6-speed automatic transmission with launch control. The traditional manual transmission is projected to arrive this summer. Our Golf R came equipped with standard luxury features such as satellite radio, heated seats, keyless entry with push-button start and Bluetooth. Performance, luxury and style are exactly what make the Automotive Rhythms team excited about what we do.
Fresh off of our Furious 7 activation, much of the crowd was anticipating our arrival to the event to discuss the movie.
With GTR’s, Bimmers, Supras, Lamborghinis, Infinitis and other custom and exotic brands on display, it was an energetic place to represent. As you know, Automotive Rhythms never goes anywhere empty handed thanks to our product sponsor Mothers Polish who provide gift bags full of car shine. See you next year in College Park, MD.
